The SUN is out and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Today is a great day to plant my bulbs and my strawberries!!! I am so excited!!!
When we bought this house I slowly realized that whom ever lived here before had spent a lot of time and money on landscaping. Ian didn't see it, he thought we were going to have to spend hundreds of dollars to make this yard the way I want! Well time will tell!!! I will post some before pictures later today and some after in a few weeks when it is all done and maybe some photos of my progress along the way!
Now you have to remember that the house/ yard sat empty for over a year. So by the looks of things I am going to be able to uncover lots of bulbs and perennial flowers and shrubs. . . . now keep in mind I have no idea what kind of flowers or shrubs these will be, but I am so excited to find out!!!! I bought a few of my own bulbs and shrubs also so no matter what I will have some color around the house, lets just hope it matched what is already here!!! Well time to get to work!!!!
Oh and a short list of what will be planted over the next few weeks are:
Gladiolas
Dahlias
Pansies (winter/frost hardy)
Wave Petunias (hanging planters)
Snap dragons (my all time favorite and very winter hardy)
Forsythia 8 of them!!!!!
Cherry, Dwarf Flowering 6 of them!!!
Rose of Sharon Hedge 24 of them!!!!
Ranunculus
Siberian Elm, (shrub) 24 of them!!!!
Lilac, Purple 5 of them
Garden Huckleberry
Giant Ranunculus
Giant Windflower
And whatever other pretty flowers I find at the nursery!!!
